Tom Jobim-RIOgaleão International Airport is operating normally this Wednesday (24), after registering a power outage last night (23). The concessionaire RioGaleão, which manages the terminal, informed in a note that the interruption was caused “by an instability in the engine room of one of the airport’s substations”. Although RIOgaleão reported that the problem caused a power outage for about 20 minutes, on social media passengers reported two blackouts that lasted from 15 to 20 minutes. Some messages indicate that the power outage occurred around 8 pm. Still according to the concessionaire, there were no flight cancellations and only one delay was recorded. “The causes are being investigated by the Dealership team”, he concluded in the note released last night.
