The interim coach of the Brazilian national team Ramon Menezes announced this Sunday (28) the list of 23 players called up for the friendlies against Guinea and Senegal. Among the newcomers are full-backs Ayrton Lucas (Flamengo) and Vanderson (Monaco), midfielder Joelinton (Newcastle) and defender Nino (Fluminense). Another novelty is the return to the team of striker Malcon (Zenit). Brazil faces Guinea on June 17 in Barcelona (Spain) and three days later faces Senegal in Lisbon (Portugal). Ramon kept in the selection 14 players who defended the hopscotch in the World Cup in Qatar. The squad will be presented on June 12th in Barcelona, for a series of five training sessions before the first game against Guinea. “In all positions you will see that there is a player who was in the World Cup, which is also important, to support the athletes who are coming for the first time”, said the interim coach during a press conference. “The Brazilian team is always open to athletes who are performing,” he said. Current coach of the Under-20 team, Ramon Menezes had to leave the team that qualified for the round of 16 at the World Cup, in Argentina, to call up the main team at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. Since Tite’s departure, Ramon has been in charge of the canary team on an interim basis, as happened in March, in the friendly against Morocco, in which Brazil lost 2-1.
