To celebrate World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5, the city of São Paulo will promote a week of educational, cultural and sports activities. The actions will be held in 31 city parks between the 3rd and 11th of June. The program includes conversation circles, stretching classes, circular dances, workshops, lectures, open classes, trails, exhibitions, walks and paintings. This Saturday (3), for example, there will be a birdwatching activity at Viveiro Manequinho Lopes, in Ibirapuera Park (photo). On the morning of June 5th, when World Environment Day is celebrated, there will be a special trail in Ibirapuera Park. On this day, there will also be contemplation and photography workshops at Parque Jardim da Luz, a workshop on planting stalks and spices at Parque Luís Carlos Prestes, a guided tour at Parque Anhanguera and a course on urban agriculture and climate change at the Escola de Agroecologia de Matchmakers. Planetarium During the week, an astronomical walk will also be promoted, departing from the Carmo Planetarium. During the tour, three guides will talk to those interested about curiosities of the universe, astronomical scales and life on Earth. Other highlights are the sensory walk through Jardim da Luz Park, in which visitors will be invited to identify edible plant species and a graffiti action in Raul Seixas Park. The activities will end on Sunday (11), with an electromagnetism workshop at the Carmo Planetarium. The closing ceremony will take place at Parque Anhanguera.
