For other courses, the semester ceiling remains at R$ 42,983.70. Financing The differentiated value for the medical course came into effect in the second half of 2022, when the Ministry of Education announced a 22.8% increase in course funding. The measure came after the complaint of students who said it was unfeasible to pay the co-participation, part that the student pays directly to the university, and the financing, after graduation. The argument was that the co-payment amount would be as high as the monthly fee for other courses.
