TV Brasil enters the rhythm of the June festivities and, starting this Saturday (17), broadcasts live the events that mark the celebrations of São João in the cities of Caruaru, in Pernambuco, and Salvador and Amargosa, in Bahia. This project by the National Public Communication Network (RNCP) has a partnership with TV Pernambuco and TVE Bahia, between June 17th and July 2nd. The thematic track TV Brasil nos Arraiais accompanies the performances of renowned artists, in addition to forró trios, regional dance groups and square dances. This Saturday, at 10 pm, the public can watch the celebrations of São João de Caruaru on the public broadcaster, directly from the Pátio de Eventos Luiz Gonzaga, with the signal produced by TV Pernambuco. In four hours of transmission, anchoring will be shared by reporters Moema França and Nice Lima. They will be on the Patio itself, presenting the shows and bringing information about the party between the presentations. Caruaru becomes the “Capital of Forró” during the month of June. Organized since 1984, the São João event in the city has hundreds of artists who perform at each edition in several decentralized centers: the Pátio de Eventos Luiz Gonzaga, the Cultural Center of the Railway Station, Alto do Moura and the itinerant center for rural area of the municipality. São João de Caruaru – Janine Moraes/MinC In Bahia, there will be coverage of festivities held in Salvador (from the Exhibition Park and Largo do Pelourinho) and Amargosa, with one of the most traditional June celebrations in the state. The broadcasts by TV Brasil together with TVE Bahia are planned for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of June, and the following week, on the 30th of June and the 1st and 2nd of July, and will be anchored at the locations of the events. With the objective of valuing the traditions of the region, the programming of São João in Salvador brings a great variety of artistic and cultural activities. The expectation is that around 400 thousand people attend the festivities. This year, the Soteropolitan June festivities are added to the commemoration of the Independence of Brazil in Bahia, which completes 200 years. Festa Junina in Amargosa – Amargosa City Hall In Amargosa, the party promotes forró classes, northeastern trio, vila junina with typical foods, repentistas and the presentation of square dances during the day. At night, on the main stage, local artists and others of national importance are presented. In 2023, Amargosa will celebrate the accordion as a link between the culture of Brazil and that of different peoples from the most varied continents of the world.
