The number of municipalities in an emergency situation rose to 31, due to the damage caused by the heavy rains that hit the state of Alagoas in recent days. On Sunday (9), Governor Paulo Dantas (MDB) published a decree including the cities of Barra de Santo Antônio and Passo de Camaragibe on the list of cities in an emergency situation. This number will reach up to 32 and may go up to 33. The latest bulletin from the Civil Defense of the state, released this Monday (10), pointed out that the rains that have fallen in Alagoas since Friday (7) left 3,578 people homeless and 20,458 homeless across the state. The municipality of Matriz de Camaragibe is the most affected, with 390 homeless and 3,158 displaced. In the municipality of Joaquim Gomes, one person died. The survey also informs that Matriz de Camaragibe is the municipality with the highest number of people affected, with 3,548 in total, with 390 homeless and another 3,158 displaced. According to the Civil Defense of the state, 2,862 people were affected by the rains, of which 2,447 are homeless and 415 are homeless.
