Caixa Econômica Federal begins to pay the July installment of the new Bolsa Família. Beneficiaries with Social Registration Number (NIS) at the end of 1 will receive this Tuesday (18). Residents of 107 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, Alagoas and Pernambuco, affected by public calamities, will also receive payment this Tuesday, independently of the NIS. The government unified payment on the first day of the program because of the extratropical cyclone that hit 60 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul and the rains that affected 32 municipalities in Alagoas and 15 in Pernambuco. It is the second installment with the new additional R$50 for families with pregnant women and children between 7 and 18 years of age. Since March, Bolsa Família has paid an additional R$150 to families with children up to 6 years old. In this way, the total value of the benefit can reach R$ 900 for those who meet the requirements to receive the additional two. The minimum value corresponds to R$ 600, but with the new additional benefit the average value rises to R$ 684.17. According to the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, this month the federal government’s income transfer program will reach 20.9 million families, with an expenditure of R$ 14 billion. This month, the integration of Bolsa Família data with the National Register of Social Information (CNIS) takes effect. Based on cross-referencing information, 341,000 families were excluded from the program for having incomes above the rules established by Bolsa Família. The CNIS has more than 80 billion administrative records referring to income, formal employment relationships and social security and assistance benefits paid by the INSS. On the other hand, another 300 thousand families were included in the program in July. The inclusion was possible due to the active search policy, based on the restructuring of the Unified Social Assistance System (Suas) and which focuses on the most vulnerable people who are entitled to income supplement, but do not receive the benefit. Since March, more than 1.3 million families have become part of Bolsa Família. Protection rule Almost 2.2 million families are in the protection rule in July. In effect since last month, this rule allows families whose members get jobs and improve their income to receive 50% of the benefit they would be entitled to for up to two years, provided that each member receives the equivalent of up to half a minimum wage. For these families, the average benefit was R$378.91. According to the Ministry of Social Development, of the total number of families in the protection rule, 1.46 million families were included this month because of the integration of Bolsa Família data with the CNIS. Restructuring Since the beginning of the year, the social program has been renamed Bolsa Família. The minimum amount of BRL 600 was guaranteed after the approval of the Constitutional Amendment of the Transition, which allowed the spending of up to BRL 145 billion outside the spending ceiling this year, of which BRL 70 billion is destined to fund the benefit. The payment of the additional BRL 150 began in March, after the government combed the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), to eliminate fraud. According to the most recent balance, released in April, about 3 million individuals with inconsistencies in the registration had their benefit cut. In the traditional Bolsa Família model, payment takes place in the last ten business days of each month. The beneficiary will be able to consult information about payment dates, the amount of the benefit and the composition of the installments in the Caixa Tem application, used to monitor the bank’s digital savings accounts. Source – Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger Gas Allowance This month, there will be no payment of Gas Allowance, which benefits families registered in CadÚnico. As the benefit is only paid every two months, the payment will return in August. You can only receive the Gas Allowance if you are included in the CadÚnico and have at least one family member who receives the Continued Provision Benefit (BPC). The law that created the program defined that the woman responsible for the family will have preference, as well as women victims of domestic violence.
