The Justice of São Paulo decreed the bankruptcy of the company Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos, which operated at airports with the acronym ITA. The decision was made at the request of one of the company’s creditors, Travel Technology Interactive do Brasil Soluções em Software Ltda. The decision came out on the 13th, but was published on Monday (17). According to the court decision, the office is obliged to sell the assets of the company’s bankrupt estate within 180 days, deliver a plan to comply with the ITA’s commitments, within 60 days, and present the list of creditors. Creditors have until August 1 to file claims with the court. The decision highlights that the directors or legal representatives of the company did not attend the case file to present defense in numerous processes. In December 2021, the airline suspended flights and other activities suddenly. On April 20 last year, ANTT National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) suspended Itapemirim operations.
