The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) informed this Monday (6) that solar panels with batteries were installed last weekend in the Walo Pali and Palimiu communities, which make up the Yanomami Indigenous Land, in Roraima, which will reinforce the energy supply in the region. This week, the installation is scheduled at the poles of Serra da Estrutura, Auaris, Surucucu and Xexena. The measure is part of the actions that have been adopted by the federal government to help the Yanomami indigenous people, who are facing a humanitarian crisis. The solar power generation system is the ideal equipment to serve isolated locations. The equipment includes batteries, which ensure the supply of electricity directly to the consumer unit, without the need for connection to the electrical grid. According to the MME, the installations are carried out by Eletrobras and the distributor Roraima Energia, under the Mais Luz para a Amazônia Program.
