Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) and the News Agency of Portugal (Lusa) sign a partnership agreement this Saturday (22), as part of the schedule of the Brazil-Portugal Summit. The CEO of EBC, Hélio Doyle, is part of the Brazilian delegation. The agreement provides for the exchange of content between the vehicles, logistical support, exchange and qualification of professionals from the two public communication companies. The agreement with Lusa is part of a broad internationalization strategy for EBC and the content produced by its outlets. The new management started negotiations to resume cooperation agreements with public communication institutions around the world. Preserving the company’s editorial autonomy, negotiations are underway with companies from different countries, such as Public TV in Argentina, as well as institutions in Germany, Italy, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, among others. Agreements have also been signed with vehicles from China, such as the Xinhua Agency and the China Media Group (CMG). “For us it is a joy to be able to count on this look of Portugal and with the information on qualities produced by Lusa. We want diversity of information in the EBC vehicles, covering the whole world, always based on our journalistic criteria”, stated Doyle . About Lusa Lusa is a leading Portuguese language agency providing full coverage of current events in a variety of formats – text, audio, video and photography. Every day, the agency distributes around 500 news items, 20 in video and 40 in audio. There are more than 200 journalists working in 21 countries on five continents. Lusa also has comprehensive coverage of the African continent, which brings a different editorial look at news from that region.
