As some players from the Dominican Republic play in Brazil, they know our game system. We fought until the end both in attack and defense. Lorrayna got in really well. It was a long game and the important thing is that the victory came”. Coach José Roberto Guimarães highlighted the fact that Brazil needs to improve in some aspects, especially in defense: “We need to reduce the number of counterattack errors. The defensive system and aggressiveness on the serve could also be better. We went through difficulties, especially in the fourth set, when we put the Dominican Republic in the game. We open and let them touch the scoreboard. It was important that we held that pressure to close the set and the game”. The last commitment of the women’s team in the first week of the League of Nations will be the confrontation with Croatia, scheduled to start at 0:40 am (Brasília time) this Sunday (4).
